Rene Magritte, Unexpected Answer

Rene Magritte, Unexpected Answer (1933)

Welcome to The Open Door, a biweekly tidbit on the monthly UU theme.

Each tidbit explores the theme with a visual and a poem or some prose.

Two essential questions accompany each tidbit and they are meant to stimulate thinking and start conversation.

You may join in the conversation by using the Comment box – or you may just like to enjoy it on your own.

A tidbit will appear twice a month, and conversation is open until another appears.  Naturally, we will all be thoughtful and respectful of each other and the material.

In the main menu, under Themes, you will find the tidbits for each month, arranged by calendar year. For example, under Themes > 2016 > Covenant, when you click, you will find a web page that lists a summary of each of the tidbits for September, with the theme of Covenant (there is only one for September). Note that this is only a summary of the tidbit. To go to the full tidbit, click on the Read More… link.

Biographies of the artist and writer are available as well and offer some insights about why they were paired.

This is an adult education offering sponsored by the UU Congregation in Milford, NH and created by Nancy Baker.
